Dana was working at Safeway in 1981 when she met Harry. His fire truck pulled up and three handsome firemen jumped off to shop for groceries. Their eyes locked, and their love story began. Their elopement at McHenry Mansion, this Valentine’s Day, sealed their love in marriage.
They dated for five years, and their lives went in different directions. Then in 1991, they found their way back to each other. After sixteen years of living together, they discussed getting married, and it felt like the right thing to do. Now, they both like the way it FEELS to be married. It was an easy, fun, light-hearted, stress-free day, and they loved it. It was sunny and beautiful, and we had a blast taking photos around the property. The mayor of Modesto performed their ceremony, which was really special to Dana and Harry. After photos, they went to lunch to celebrate with family and friends, and on the way home at 1:30pm, thought, “Wow! How did that happen?!”
They’re a lovely couple, and I really enjoyed working with them! Dana and Harry, we wish you many many more years of happiness!
Dana and Harry were married by the mayor, which was exciting for them!
